BWPA Scholarships 2015; the BWPA Microlight Scholarship
The British Women Pilots' Association (BWPA) intends to award up to six scholarships to female pilots in 2015 as a part of the celebration of this, its Diamond Jubilee year. The awards will be available in a variety of aviation activities, including microlight flying, where an award of £500 will be available to the female microlight pilot who, in the opinion of the selection panel shows the most promise for their future microlight flying career. (The panel also reserves the right to make no award if no suitable candidate is identified). The panel will comprise two BMAA representatives and one BWPA representative.
Applicants can apply for the award either in category (a), or category (b), where (a) is an application for an award to be used towards gaining a licence (for an unqualified microlight pilot) and (b) is an application for an award to be used towards gaining an instructor rating (for a qualified microlight pilot). The applicant must indicate whether they are applying for category (a) or (b), but only one award is available.
If you wish to apply, please complete the requested details in the online form below or download a Word copy (note the word limits for some questions!) and e-mail the completed application form to email@example.com to arrive on or before the closing date of Saturday 31st October 2015. Please also attach a brief general CV, including your contact details.
The award, for either category (a or b) will be paid to a suitable microlight flying school agreed between the selection panel and the successful applicant.
