Radio Licence Holders – Free language proficiency assessments at Popham

Holders of the Flight Radio Telephony Operators Licence (FRTOL) are required to be assessed for language proficiency. This is a fairly simple exercise and only has to be done once.

FRTOLs issued recently have a language proficiency rating on them. If yours is Level 6 there is nothing else for you to do. If yours is less than 6, many were issued at level 4, you need to be assessed at some point.

At the Popham Microlight Trade Fair Geoff Weighell will be able to offer BMAA members a free assessment at the BMAA stand.

You will need to bring with you:

  • · Your Pilot’s Licence
  • · Your RT Licence
  • · Photo Identification (either a passport or photo driving licence) so I know who you are.
  • · BMAA membership card for free assessment

There is no CAA fee for the assessment and your records will be updated when you return the application form.

See you there.
