The 11th FAI European Championships at Sywell have drawn to a successful close, with the British Microlight team winning both individual and team medals.
Held at Sywell aerodrome, some 98 competitors fought for European glory, flying 15 tasks over 7 days. The event was organised by the BMAA; the core team of Competition Director Paul Dewhurst, Event Director Rob Hughes, Chief Marshal Jeremy Hucker and Scoring Director Richard Meredith-Hardy were joined by over 25 BMAA members who collectively worked to make the event a great success.
The list of winners show that the British team were on form, gaining two individual gold, one silver, one bronze and the overall team gold medals:
