Following a recent in flight failure of a lower side wire on a GT450, P&M Aviation have released an essential bulletin, which has been mandated by the CAA.

***P&M Aviation - SB146 Hang Bolt Lanyard***

This defect alert has been updated to incorporate the latest EMPD 2017-003 E regarding a batch issue with P&M Aviation Hang Bolt Lanyard assemblies. The EMPD is in response to P&M Service Bulletin 146 where some hang bolt lanyards have found to be incorrectly manufactured. A new Service Bulletin mandating owners replace spiral rings with alternative fixings has been issued.

***P&M Aviation - SB141 Hang Bolt Locking Plate***

A new Service Bulletin has been issued mandating owners check their hang bolt lanyards for rotation and install a new locking plate with the next 25hrs or at next Permit revalidation, whichever is sooner.

The bulletin is ESSENTIAL for all QuikR and GTR aircraft.

***P&M Aviation - SB142 Luff line Attachment Webbings***

A new Service Bulletin has been issued to advise owners to inspect their luff line attachment webbings for chaffing before next flight.

The bulletin is applicable to Pegasus XL-Q, Quasar, Quantum, Quik, Mainair Gemini Flash 2A, Blade, Quik & Quik GT450.

A new Service Bulletin has been issued to advise owners to check their hang bolt lanyards for rotation.

The bulletin is ADVISED for the following types:

  • BM44 (Pegasus Quasar II variants)
  • BM46 (Pegasus Quantum 2 stroke variants)
  • BM50 (Pegasus Quantum 4 stroke)
  • BM56 (Quantum HKS)
  • BM66 (Pegasus Quik)
  • BM70 (Quik GT450)
